With a reputation as a top family destination, and so many attractions for children of all ages, it is sometimes easy to lose sight of the fact that there is plenty for everyone to enjoy. From the fantastic Orlando nightlife available in the Downtown Disney complex and many other areas of the city, to the many golf courses that surround the villas in Kissimmee and Lake Buena Vista, to the stunning natural landscapes of the Everglades, no matter what your interests are, there is a chance to indulge them in Orlando.

Christmas is a magical time for families to visit Orlando, and the many theme parks are arguably at their most impressive when decorated in festive style. The biggest annual festival is Independence Day on July 4th, when huge fireworks displays take place, although since everyday is a celebration in Walt Disney World, Orlando it can be difficult to notice any extra special festivities!

You can visit Orlando at pretty much any time of the year and enjoy a great time during your stay. The peak season for travel tends to be during the school summer holidays, when the hotels and theme parks are at their busiest and most expensive. The Atlantic hurricane season effectively runs from May until November, although Orlando benefits from a location well inland and tends to escape the wholesale damage that is regularly suffered by coastal regions. Climate wise, Orlando is hot throughout the year in comparison with the UK, although it can get pretty humid during the hurricane season. Mosquitos can be a problem in summer throughout the Everglades, although they are kept well under control within resort areas.
